A Wedding done with 50's Flair! I attended the most beautiful wedding event
last evening. We often hear a bride and groom talk about putting their own unique personalities into their wedding.
This couple succeeded in a huge way. Their invitation was custom designed by the bride and the guests immediately
knew that this was going to be a special event. The bride and groom requested that all their guests arrive dressed in
50's glam! The couple had a website available to their guests that spoke of who the couple was, how they met, their
family, their friends, their dreams, and all about the wedding planning process. What a treat the website was!
It gave everyone an opportunity to get to the know the couple better, and to cruise through recommended websites that gave
ideas on 'what to wear'. The wedding was done
in a cocktail party 1950's style. The guests arrived at the event and were greeted by staff who took their coat
and were then directed into the party. The wedding couple mingled with their guests over cocktails. The groom was decked
out in style, complete with a fedora. The bride was stunning in a beautiful blue gown (pictured here). After enjoying our cocktails, the couple gathered everyone together and their
ceremony was presented. It was a very warm ceremony that was unique to the couple. It was very personal and you
could see many tears welling up in the guests eyes. After
the beautiful ceremony, a buffet was presented and the music began in earnest. This was truly one of the most personal,
unique and heart felt weddings I have been to. It was small, intimate, and you could see how much fun the guests were
having as they sipped their scotch and spun around in their skinny ties and pill box hats.
